Recommended setup
- Use a non-operational training location.
- Keep the flight short.
- Use a simple scenario template.
- Assign one pilot operator and one Mission Overwatch operator.
- Keep a stable local Wi-Fi network available.
- Have internet access ready for post-mission sync and upload.
Training script
- Start the pilot relay.
- Start a mission named
Training mission. - Connect Mission Overwatch to the pilot tablet.
- Confirm live video and telemetry.
- Log a pilot quick event.
- Log a Mission Overwatch manual event.
- Fly or record briefly using normal DJI safety procedures.
- Land the aircraft.
- Close the mission.
- Upload or queue the mission footage.
- Open Play with Events.
- Confirm the event markers appear on the timeline.
- Add one post-mission Tag event from the video.
- Generate the after-action report.
- Export the offline package.
What the team should learn
After the training mission, every operator should be able to answer:- Which device starts the relay?
- Which device starts and closes the mission?
- How does Mission Overwatch connect to the pilot tablet?
- Where do live events appear?
- What happens when internet is unavailable?
- How does footage get uploaded or queued?
- How do reviewers use Play with Events?
- When should an officer seal the evidence record?
- What is included in an offline package?
Pass criteria
The training mission is successful when:- Mission Overwatch connects to the pilot relay.
- At least two events appear in the event log.
- Mission footage appears or is queued for upload.
- Play with Events opens and shows the event timeline.
- A post-mission tagged event appears in the event log.
- The after-action report generates.
- The offline package exports.
