Configured AI can draft the after-action report from mission events, footage references, photos, and custody data. A human must verify everything before submission.
AI output is draft material — not final authority.
Steps
- Open the closed mission’s Timeline. For each Device Live AI or AI live-watch alert, choose Approve alert or Dismiss alert. For each available image-analysis finding, choose Accept as is or Review & edit after checking the source image or footage. Click Done — continue when the Timeline is complete.
- Review footage and photos under Media, then click Done — continue.
- Use AI Review when available to analyze uploaded footage, photos, or event screenshots. Use Ask AI for mission-media questions, then verify each answer against its supporting evidence and the original media.
- Accept only verified AI findings that should become timeline events and reject the rest, then click Done — continue. Confirming completion rejects any remaining undecided AI Review findings.
- Return to Timeline for findings that were added by AI Review. Choose Accept as is or Review & edit, then complete the reopened Timeline step.
- Open Report and click Generate Report.
- Resolve report-readiness Items Requiring Officer Review, then click Mark complete and confirm only after every listed item has been addressed. This removes the section from the draft; it does not verify the underlying evidence for you.
- Edit the narrative or use Edit executive summary for the dashboard header summary.
- Click Submit for supervisor approval when ready.
All undeleted human-created events are eligible for AAR content. Automatic alerts require approval, and accepted AI Review findings require Timeline officer review. AlphaRelay presents reviewed findings in neutral, officer-owned language and omits AI confidence, automation labels, and internal review status from the report prose. The report event list can show the source screenshot, observations, report relevance, uncertainty, and officer-review state. AI Review does not draw model bounding boxes over the source image. Pending image analysis can still appear with a review warning, but unreviewed analysis is excluded from generated narrative. If a timeline finding changes after a draft is generated, regenerate or update the report before submission.
Supervisor actions
Submitting the report locks report edits, mission renaming, timeline events, footage, photos, and AI Review actions while the supervisor decides. Supervisors (often org admins) can Approve or Return to draft.
- Return to draft reopens the record for corrections and resubmission.
- Approve makes the record permanently read-only.
Once approved:
- The report cannot be regenerated or edited
- Mission name, timeline events, footage, photos, and AI Review actions stay locked

When configured, AlphaRelay sends email on report workflow events (submit, approve, return).
