For a Video Link mission, Operator sends the submitted web link to AlphaRelay’s online video service. The phone or tablet does not browse or record that page. For security, AlphaRelay rejects links that include a username/password or point to a private home or agency network. A private-looking or single-use video link can still act like a password, so treat it as sensitive mission information and turn it off when practical.

What uploads to AlphaRelay

When internet is available, AlphaRelay sends mission details, events, screenshots, photos, footage information, optional personnel locations, reports, evidence history, and agency information to the organization’s protected AlphaRelay account. Full-quality evidence stays separate from any smaller image prepared for AI review. AlphaRelay records when a screenshot was actually taken even if it uploads later. It also records a digital fingerprint for manually uploaded photos and videos so later changes can be detected. AI

When enabled, AI can help draft reports, review uploaded media, answer questions about the main mission video, describe selected event screenshots, and check occasional pictures from live video. It can also look for the visible items selected for the scenario or mission. Always review:
  • Timeline accuracy
  • Footage and photo references
  • Accepted AI Review findings and officer-reviewed timeline observations
  • Ask AI answers, limitations, and supporting evidence
  • Event screenshot or media image analysis
  • AI live watch alerts and attached frame evidence
  • Items Requiring Officer Review
Treat every AI result as a draft.
  • Event-focused checks video around accepted events.
  • Full mission — detailed checks the available mission timeline and prefers higher-quality or original video where recordings overlap.
  • AlphaRelay verifies possible findings against evidence screenshots before showing them for review.
  • An officer must use Accept as is or Review & edit before an accepted finding can enter a report.
  • Ask AI uses only the selected main uploaded video. It does not use mission photos or event screenshots.
After approval, Ask AI remains available for read-only questions, but it does not unlock the record. AI Review can remember the area of the picture connected to a finding so it can match repeated results. It does not draw AI boxes over evidence thumbnails or the full-screen original image. Device Live AI and AI live-watch alerts are prompts for officer review, not final findings. An officer must choose Approve alert before AlphaRelay can review the alert screenshot or consider it for the report. Choose Dismiss alert to exclude it. Any AI description of the image still requires Accept as is or Review & edit. Live AI follows the agency’s settings. Some missions use online AI with basic on-device checks when the connection is unavailable. Agency-enabled on-device-only missions keep live detection on the device and block online live-frame and alert-screenshot analysis. If the agency permits Hybrid cloud review and it is selected for the mission, selected pictures and uncertain detections can also go to online AI. These settings concern live AI processing. They do not turn off remote video, evidence uploads, or other account services, and they do not mean post-mission AI Review or report drafting runs on the device. Check the mission’s setting before using AI with agency evidence. Person alerts are yellow and do not identify people. Possible-weapon alerts are red and remain unconfirmed until reviewed. The available controls depend on the agency’s AI mode. Turning off routine person alerts does not disable always-on weapon checks in an on-device mission. See Live AI alerts. AlphaRelay uses the same rule everywhere an official event appears:
  • Include officer-created events unless they were deleted.
  • Include an automatic alert only after Approve alert.
  • Include an AI Review finding only after final officer review on the Timeline.
Pending, dismissed, or unreviewed AI items stay outside official counts, playback markers, reports, exports, and evidence views. Finishing Timeline review moves unresolved suggestions to Dismissed. Sealing permanently removes suggestions that never became official. When Operational Map is enabled, location sharing uses the person selected on the licensed device. This is a reported identity, not independent proof of who carries the device. Precise location can continue in the background while sharing is active. When sharing ends, AlphaRelay creates a map evidence file and records its digital fingerprint. AlphaRelay does not place precise location in product-usage measurements, crash reports, application logs, or mission event text. Mission Overwatch Dictate uses the browser’s speech-recognition capability and microphone permission for manual events and Live Ask AI questions. Availability and speech processing depend on the browser and operating system; type the event or question when agency policy or browser support does not permit dictation. A Live Ask AI answer is saved against one saved live picture and must be verified against the live feed.

Pilot agreements

Pilot agreement PDFs and signed copies are stored privately. Signing links contain a private code and completed files open through links that expire. The signing record may include the signer’s details, date and time, network address when available, browser/device information, agreement version, document fingerprint, and audit history.

Custody and approval

Do not share exports until all saved mission information has reached the agency account and officer review is complete.
