Five-step workflow

1

Set up devices

Install AlphaRelay Operator on the field devices, activate each device license, and sign in to the web app.

Start a mission

In Operator, tap Start Mission, choose where the video will come from, then enter the mission details. AlphaRelay can capture the controller screen, open a video QR code or web link, receive a DJI or Skydio controller livestream, receive controller HDMI through a capture card, or use Pilot mode on supported DJI equipment. Command staff can also start New Livestream or New HDMI mission from the Dashboard.

Watch and log events

Use Mission Overwatch to watch live video, follow the timeline, add events, ask about the current picture, and open the mission map. A second licensed phone or tablet can use Mission Viewer for the same basic live support. Authorized team members can create a read-only public QR code for viewers who do not sign in. AI can flag possible concerns, but every alert and answer must be checked by a person.

Review the mission

Let saved events and footage finish uploading, then work through Timeline, Media, AI Review, and Report. Review or dismiss AI suggestions before they can enter the official record. You can choose a faster review around known events or a longer review of the full mission. AlphaRelay emails you when the review finishes.

Complete the record

Generate the report, seal the evidence listed in the AAR Chain of Custody, submit for supervisor review, and export when ready. Submission prevents further review changes. Approval makes the record permanently view-only, while Ask AI remains available for view-only questions.
