1. Set up devices

Install AlphaRelay Copilot, activate each Android or iOS device license, sign in to the web app, and open Mission Overwatch once while online on each browser profile that will use it in the field. A device used for Mission Viewer needs its own licensed installation in the same organization. → Devices and licenses · Before you go to the field

2. Start a mission

Open AlphaRelay Copilot, select the operator, mission name, scenario, and up to eight mission-specific AI targets, then tap Start Mission. Copilot creates an Internet mission and starts remote live automatically when the device has validated internet. If it is offline, the mission still starts and sync waits for connectivity. Android drone controllers use Controller Screen Capture by default so the native flight app remains responsible for flight control. iPhone and iPad use the AlphaRelay Capture ReplayKit broadcast. Detected DJI SDK-controller setups can instead unlock Pilot mode after a supported-aircraft and live-connection check. 3. Watch and log events

Open the active mission in Mission Overwatch and select Live stream (WebRTC). When AI live watch is configured, Mission Overwatch can combine standard detections with scenario-specific and mission-specific visible targets, sample the remote stream, and log alerts for officer review. A second licensed Android or iOS Copilot device can open Mission Viewer to watch remote live, follow the timeline, and add quick or manual events. Device Live AI can also create informational person alerts and possible-weapon alerts while capture is running; cloud analysis hands off automatically to the on-device fallback when needed. The Command Center brings active mission state, remote-live or sync problems, automatic alerts awaiting review, and report follow-ups into one attention queue. 4. Review the mission

End the mission, let the single controller-screen recording upload or queue, then follow Timeline → Media → AI Review when available and use Done — continue after each completed step. Open Play with Events to check markers against video. When AI is configured, accept or reject suggested findings. An accepted finding moves to the timeline; use Accept as is or Review & edit there to make it officer-reviewed before it can enter the AAR. Open Ask AI inside AI Review to ask questions grounded in the mission imagery. For work captured outside AlphaRelay, use Import mission from Mission History to create a closed post-flight record first. If you move a closed mission to Trash, restore it within 30 days or, when authorized, permanently delete it sooner with Delete now. → End a mission · Import a mission · Upload footage · Review footage · Delete or restore a mission

5. Finalize the record

Generate the after-action report with AI drafting when configured, resolve Items Requiring Officer Review, and use Mark complete after every listed item has been addressed. Seal custody evidence, submit for supervisor approval, and export when the record is complete. → Generate a report · Seal the mission record · Export offline package
Sealing evidence and supervisor approval are separate steps. Sealing preserves custody hashes. Submitting the report locks timeline, media, mission-name, and AI-review changes while a supervisor decides; approval makes that lock permanent.

AI across the workflow

  • During an active remote stream, AI live watch samples frames and logs possible threat indicators for officer review.
  • On a Copilot device, Device Live AI uses cloud analysis while it is healthy and automatically falls back to on-device people and possible-weapon detection when cloud analysis or internet is unavailable.
  • For an AI live-watch or Device Live AI alert, choose Approve alert to allow configured screenshot analysis and report eligibility, or Dismiss alert to exclude it. Then review any resulting analysis with Accept as is or Review & edit.
  • Mission Overwatch, device cloud analysis, and the on-device fallback coordinate ownership to reduce duplicate alerts. The fallback resumes automatically when a healthy cloud handoff ends.
  • After a synced mission closes, AI Review analyzes uploaded footage frames, photos, and event screenshots so you can accept or reject suggested findings. Accepted findings require timeline review before report use.
  • Inside AI Review, Ask AI answers mission-specific questions from the available imagery and shows its confidence, supporting observations, limitations, and supporting evidence.
AI output is draft material. Verify every alert, finding, and answer against the live view or source media before using it in an operational decision, report, or evidence workflow. Official event counts and evidence surfaces include every undeleted human-created event, approved automatic alerts, and officer-reviewed AI findings. Pending or dismissed automatic alerts and accepted AI Review findings without Timeline officer review remain review material only.
