Steps

  1. Tap Land on the pilot device when appropriate.
  2. Follow normal landing and safety procedures.
  3. Tap Stop and complete mission or Stop Mission in AlphaRelay Operator when field work is complete.
  4. For Laptop HDMI Capture, click Stop & upload and wait for the browser recording to be secured.
  5. Optionally open Operations and tap End Mission in Mission Overwatch.
  6. Check whether footage has uploaded or is safely waiting on the device before powering it off or closing its browser tab.
In a supported Pilot-mode mission, confirmed touchdown can trigger the same stop and closeout automatically. AlphaRelay stops Live AI and closes the mission before a longer aircraft-SD transfer continues. If automatic closeout does not occur, use Stop Mission and follow the on-screen retry state.

What happens

  • The relay session ends with the mission.
  • SD recording stops after a successful land when supported.
  • Pilot mode can start or recover mission-time SD recording after takeoff and closes only around footage that began during the current mission.
  • In Controller Screen Capture, AlphaRelay finishes the mission-long controller-screen recording instead of automatically copying aircraft SD-card video.
  • On a supported DJI Controller Screen Capture setup that AlphaRelay confirmed at mission start, AlphaRelay can guide you through reconnecting the controller to copy the matching aircraft video from its SD card. If copying fails, the mission stays open so you can retry or choose Close without aircraft copy.
  • In Controller Livestream, stop livestreaming on the controller first; closing the mission finishes the received recording.
  • In Video Link, closing the mission stops opening the link and finishes the AlphaRelay recording. Confirm the recording appears in Media before treating closeout as complete.
  • In HDMI Capture Card, AlphaRelay finishes the video received from the capture card. Reconnect a missing card before closeout if the mission still needs more video.
  • In Laptop HDMI Capture, Stop & upload finishes the browser recording before mission closeout. If interrupted, reopen the mission and use Recover interrupted recording without clearing browser data.
  • In Goggles Mode, AlphaRelay finishes the video captured from DJI Fly and prepares it for upload. It does not copy footage from the DJI Avata’s internal storage or microSD card.
  • Footage may upload immediately or wait until internet service returns.
  • Video marked as waiting to upload stays saved on the device and retries when internet returns, including after Operator restarts.
  • After a verified upload, Android and iPhone/iPad Operator can remove their own local recording files to free storage. Confirm the recording plays in Media; the aircraft’s original memory-card file is separate.
  • Android and iOS Mission Viewer event logging stops and the selected timeline becomes read-only.
  • Personnel location sharing stops, and each recorded trail becomes a map evidence file with a digital fingerprint and evidence-history record.
  • Mission Overwatch stops remote-live playback and switches to historical review instead of retrying the closed live stream.
  • Mission Overwatch selects Timeline after web closeout so review starts with unresolved events and alerts.
  • Review should wait until footage status is clear.
  • Evidence sealing must also wait until every location-sharing session has stopped and each saved track export is complete.
Do not force-stop or uninstall Operator while footage is waiting to upload. On iPhone/iPad, keep Operator open while Screen Recording finishes and hands off the video. Uploads started in a browser still require that browser tab to remain open.
