AlphaRelay Operator device
- Supported Android version for the installed APK, or iPhone/iPad running iOS 26 for the iOS app
- Usable internet for remote viewing and immediate upload to the agency account; without internet, AlphaRelay can save supported work on the device for later
- Enough CPU, memory, battery, and storage for live video, event logging, recording, and Device Live AI
- Supported aircraft-control workflow when using aircraft integration
- Conditional Matrice camera tools on supported Matrice aircraft or Matrice controllers
- Android drone controller capable of installing AlphaRelay Operator and granting screen capture permission for Controller Screen Capture
- For Video Link: licensed Android/iOS Operator, working internet, and an authorized video QR code or web link; camera permission is optional when pasting instead of scanning
- For Controller Livestream: licensed Android/iOS Operator or an authorized signed-in browser, working internet, and a DJI controller with Custom RTMP or a Skydio controller with RTSP External Server
- For Operator HDMI Capture: a compatible Android device or USB-C iPad, a standard USB HDMI capture card, controller HDMI output, and camera/USB permission; some setups need a powered USB hub
- For Pilot mode: a supported DJI controller connection, an aircraft shown in AlphaRelay’s Pilot mode list, and a live connection AlphaRelay can verify
- For a DJI Avata with compatible DJI Goggles: separate Android phone or tablet with DJI Fly, AlphaRelay Operator, screen capture permission, and internet
- For iPhone/iPad screen capture: iOS 26, AlphaRelay Operator installed through TestFlight, Screen Recording permission, and optional microphone/speech permissions
- For Mission Viewer: a second Operator installation licensed to the mission’s organization, plus internet
- For Operational Map: the feature enabled for the organization, the correct person selected on each licensed sharing device, permission to use precise location while the app is open and while another app is in front, and internet for live updates
Overwatch / review (browser)
- Current Chrome, Edge, or Safari on desktop or mobile for Mission Overwatch, dashboard, and export; a larger screen is recommended for long review sessions
- Internet to send saved mission information and footage to the agency account, create reports, and download exported media
- Internet and the agency’s AI features enabled for report drafting, AI Review, post-mission Ask AI, Live Ask AI, event screenshot review, or AI live watch
- Browser microphone permission and speech-recognition support for Dictate in Mission Overwatch
- For Laptop HDMI Capture: a physical USB HDMI capture card, browser camera permission, enough storage, and a tab that remains open through Stop & upload
By workflow
Grant camera, USB-device access, microphone, speech recognition, Screen Recording, storage, notifications, and location only when the selected workflow asks for them. Operational Map needs precise location and may ask to continue location sharing in the background. HDMI Capture uses Android’s camera permission for the USB capture card, not the phone or tablet camera. In Mission Overwatch, allow browser microphone access only when using Dictate.
Aircraft camera controls appear only when AlphaRelay detects supported aircraft and controller features. Availability still depends on aircraft firmware, installed camera or sensor, DJI support, and a successful field test.
Controller Screen Capture appears on Android drone controllers that can run AlphaRelay Operator and grant screen capture permission. The controller’s usual flight app remains responsible for aircraft operation in that mode.
Pilot mode is not enabled just because a DJI controller is connected. Confirm the aircraft in AlphaRelay’s supported list and keep the aircraft and controller connected until AlphaRelay reports Supported aircraft confirmed. Pilot mode is ready. If that check does not finish, use Controller Screen Capture.
The Goggles Mode workflow uses a separate Android device to display the DJI Goggles live view in DJI Fly. AlphaRelay records that screen and does not control the DJI Avata or retrieve the original aircraft camera file.
iPhone and iPad use Apple’s Screen Recording to capture the selected display or app. They do not include Android’s automatic wired DJI Goggles detection or Android-only same-Wi-Fi viewing.
