# Devices and Roles

> Who uses AlphaRelay and which device runs each part of the workflow.

| Role               | Device                                  | Responsibility                                                                |

| Pilot              | Pilot app (Android tablet/phone)        | Starts missions, flies, logs field events, ends mission, uploads footage      |
| Overwatch user     | Browser — Mission Overwatch             | Relay viewing, remote live, command-side events, review, report, seal, export |
| Reviewer / officer | Browser — Mission Overwatch             | Checks timeline, footage, report draft, and custody                           |
| Supervisor         | Browser — Mission Dashboard / Overwatch | Approves or returns after-action reports                                      |
| Org admin          | Browser — Organization page             | Members, roles, licenses, time zone, storage                                  |

## Key rules

* Missions **always start from the pilot app**, not Mission Overwatch.
* Open missions from **Mission Dashboard** (link may say **Open Mission Console**).
* **Relay mission** needs the pilot device and Overwatch device on the same reachable Wi‑Fi.
* **Field-device mission** does not show the LAN relay panel in Mission Overwatch during the live mission.
